Try not to over spray like I did
This was my first time oiling a new filter so I accidently oversprayed my filter a bit so I had to let it sit to let the excess soak in/drip off. I was a little unsure if I needed to spray it both on the outside and the inside of my K&N Air Filter (cone-shaped model) as the filter's instructions were a bit unclear in that area. I called K&N and they told me just to spray it on the outside and the oil would seep into the inside on its own. So, all is well. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have opted for the pump spray version of this oil as I probably would have been less likely to overspray. But, since I had time on my hands, letting the filter dry out for a couple of days didn't hurt me any.

Highly Recommend
I used the K&N 99-0621 Air Filter Cleaner and Degreaser to clean my K&N CAI filter for my 2002 Mustang. I highly recommend that cleaner and wrote a separate review for that on Amazon. As far as this oil is concerned, I would highly recommend it also. It is very easy to use. I think the aerosol can is probably easier to use than the squeeze bottle version of this oil. I have not used the squeeze bottle but I cant imagine it could be any easier than this spray oil was to use. The oil sprayed on very evenly. I applied the oil fairly liberally to fully soak the filter and there still seems to be a lot of oil in the can. I'm pretty sure there is enough left in the can to definitely treat the filter one more time, possibly even two more times. Definitely one though. For what I paid for the cleaner and this oil I am very pleased with these products and the fact that I can get at least two cleanings and oiling for way less than the cost of a new filter. Both the cleaner and this spray oil is very easy to use. Highly recommend!

The Best
This does the job. Don't use anything else and spray lightly a little goes along way. Clean your MAF Sensor each time you clean your filter for a boost of power and smooth idle. I have been using K&N now for over 10 years and put them in all of my vehicles race or stock. They work well for me.

Excellent oil but BE CAREFUL using it because...
Excellent product that you add to a K&N Air filter to help filter air going in the engine BUT be careful not to spray too much of this on your air filter BECAUSE if you do it will get sucked into your Throttle Body, the butterfly looking thing that opens and closes to allow air to go inside your engine. If it gets sucked in, it will cause your throttle body to get nasty and dirty causing idle issues and maybe an check engine light. Throttle body easy to clean but why cause something when you can avoid it ;)

K and N Filter Oil
I found out that it takes almost a "Mist Spray" to cover your filter! Do Not Over Spray! to much is not good, can get sucked into the injectors! great stuff!

Never Buy Another Air Filter Again
This turns the common bulk reusable polyester fiber air filters into HEPA filters. The modern OEM industry standard air filters are an insult to the trade (I am a retired HVAC service tech.) so I put the polyester fiber filter blanket over that and spray it with this filter oil. It washes out in warm soapy water for reusing the filter.

Work fine for me
I cleaned my K&N filter, all of the old, reddish dirty coating was removed. Re-coated with this Air Filter Oil. The filter came out looking exactly as new. It's easy to apply, jut use a little care. I had the new, original K&N installed for 5 years when I re-oiled it. And I'm not sure it really needed it now. It looked a little gray, but not terrible at all. Of course you don't want gobs of oil dripping off the filter, but it's easy to control the application. I don't know that my mileage improved measurably when I initially installed the K&N filter. So it's hard to say if re-oiling it makes any changes. I mostly got the K&N filter to reduce the frequency (& cost) of annually replacing OEM paper filters. In any case, everything works as normal after the process. Car runs fine. No MAF sensor issues.

just the oil!
K&N oil in a large spray can. Better than buying the recharge kit, because the cleaner that comes with the kit is worthless. Simple Green and/or Dawn works better at a fraction of the cost.

Great K&N 99-0516 Air Filter Oil - Aerosol (12.25oz)
We've been using K&N filters for nearly 4 years now, while you don't have to change the filters, you do have to maintain them. It is very easy to do. You just need the cleaner spray bottle and the oil (this item being reviewed). Apply this to a dry filter (after you cleaned it). The aerosol can makes it easy to apply a nice even layer of the oil onto the filter. The oil restores the properties of the filter when you first take it out of the package. The filter should take on a slightly reddish tint when you spray it. The product performed as expected and I will be buying more of it here as usually it is cheaper here than other places.

Works as expected
Same formula as the stuff I used 20 years ago. Sprays on red so you can see where your spraying. A light spray does the trick or you will be over doing it. Then you will have to clean and start over again. This oil turned from red to white on my SE Harley air filter after a month or so. This is typical and does not mean that it needs to be cleaned/re-oiled. I clean mine once a year to be safe.
