Thịt viên cà rốt hấp là sự kết hợp hài hòa giữa các nguyên liệu như thịt heo bằm, cà rốt, củ mài, trứng, gừng, hành lá, ... và các gia vị thường dùng. Món ăn vi nhạt thích hợp cho người kiêng ăn muối.
Cà rốt gọt vỏ, một nửa đem cắt nhỏ hạt lựu, một nửa cắt thành những lát tròn. Củ mài gọt vỏ, xay nhuyễn. Cho thịt heo bằm vào bát cùng cà rốt, lòng trắng trứng, gừng băm, nước tương, rượu nấu ăn, đường, dầu mè, tiêu, bột bắp rồi trộn đều cho hòa quyện với nhau.
Lấy hỗn hợp thịt, viên lại thành từng viên nhỏ, đặt lên trên lát cà rốt rồi cho vào nồi hấp khoảng 8 phút cho đến khi thịt và cà rốt chín thì tắt bếp.
Cho đĩa thịt ra ngoài, xếp hành lá lên trên trang trí và thưởng thức. Đây là món ăn đơn giản và đễ làm thích hợp cho các bạn có ít thời gian nấu nướng nhưng vẫn muốn làm ra được bữa cơm phong phú, hấp dẫn.
