Tôm bạn chọn con to, còn tươi, sau đó rửa sạch, bóc vỏ. Chuẩn bị 1 cái nồi, cho vỏ tôm, lá nguyệt quế, muối tỏi (bạn có thể pha muối và bột tỏi) và nước vào, đun sôi. Sau khi nước sôi chừng 5 phút với cho tôm vào luộc trong 2 phút.

Vớt tôm ra ngoài và thưởng thức. Tôm luộc kiểu này vừa thơm ngon, vừa đậm đà gia vị hơn hẳn các kiểu luộc tôm khác. Nước dùng luộc tôm bạn không cần bỏ đi, chỉ cần vớt bỏ xác tôm là có thể có ngay một nồi nước dùng tuyệt vời cho các món bún, mì, phở... rồi.
